Build it yourself or Flowmage?
Even when AI makes it look quick.

With AI, someone in a department has a script or app tying systems together in an afternoon. It works, until an API changes, a token expires or the maker leaves. Then an integration turns out to be mostly maintenance.

Build it yourself if…

  • The integration is part of your own product.
  • You have a development team that maintains, tests and secures it for years.
  • There's genuinely no standard way to do it.

Choose Flowmage if…

  • You connect existing systems, like HR, finance or an ATS.
  • You don't want the knowledge in one person's head.
  • You must be able to show what happens to personal data.
  • You want an alert when it fails, not a complaint.

Where the difference is.

01

Building is the start

Most of an integration's time isn't the build, it's everything after: API changes, expired tokens, new fields, error handling. In Flowmage we keep the connectors up to date.

02

Vibe-coded, but checked by whom?

A script an AI tool wrote often runs on a laptop or a loose server, with credentials in the code and customer data that went through a US AI service. That's hard to explain to a client or an auditor.

03

Visible, to everyone

A flow in Flowmage can be read without a developer. Every run is on record, and the AI explains in plain language why something failed. The knowledge lives in the platform, not in one head.

04

Code where it counts

Flowmage isn't a straitjacket. Where the logic calls for it, you write JavaScript or TypeScript in the flow. You get the ease of a platform with the freedom of code.

Frequently asked questions.

Can we bring our own code?

Yes. Existing logic goes into a code step in the flow. The rest, like triggers, connectors, error handling and logging, Flowmage handles.

A colleague already built something. Now what?

We look at it together. Often we rebuild it in Flowmage and run both side by side for a while, so nothing breaks.

What does Flowmage cost?

Flowmage has one fixed monthly fee, with unlimited flows and runs. Implementation and support are billed on use. In a demo you get a price that fits your situation.
